Default Windows media player 10

WMP 10 says a update is available. I'm not sure what I should do. I do not want 11. Do you think it wants to update to 11 or could it be some other update within 10 itself. Any ideas?

Default Second Question

How do I back up all my music on WMP or Yahoo music engine? With a blank DVD. I did it very easily when I used to use itunes, but can't seem to figure it out with this software.

Yes it is trying to get you to upgrade to that dreadful WMP11. Don't make that mistake!!!

To burn a DVD in Yahoo, just drag and drop all your MP3's or WMA to the NOW PLAYING WINDOW. It will of course start playing, but you can just hit stop. Once all your music is there, simply click on the Burn Icon. You'll get a window open up that will show all your files. You can change the settings as to how fast it burns ETC.

I personally use Nero myself for backing up all my data and that includes my music files.

Thanks to both of you for your feedback. I will ignore the update available window for now on. Backing up music. Got it Dab. I'll give it a whirl sometime soon.

I'm not sure if this info helps, but I had "upgraded" to WMP 11 before getting the Stiletto. I've not had any problems as of yet. One thing to note is that I create all my playlists in My Sirius studio, then transfer them one at a time to the Stiletto. Each playlist is roughly 15 songs.

Some of us have had major problems with the WMP 11. You may have made a big mistake in upgrading to 11. I had 11 at first, but eventually My Stiletto would not transfer music anymore. This was caused because of 11. Other people here have had the same problem. Rolling back to 10 is not good enough. I had to delete everything out of my computer. Then reinstall my operating system. Followed by reinstalling all my other programs. I will never upgrade to WMP 11. I learned my lesson, and I won't make that mistake again. Good luck with WMP 11.

Yes initally I didn't seem to have any ill effects using WMP11, but after awhile I started having problems loading WMA's and eventually had to roll back to 10. Once I did this my device would no longer be seen in MSS or Yahoo ME. I do not recommend upgrading to WMP11. Perhaps when the next version of the SIRIUS software is released it will be more compatible with WMP11 and I'll take a chance on it, but not now!

Default windows media 11

When I first got the Stiletto I was able to connect to MSS. I did the first update-( 1.0.2.18248r) then my stiletto wouldnt be reconized by my computer. I was mad but wasn't really that concerned. I did the Internet Channels update via wifi and figured I would do the same with the upcoming update(less than a month?). Then today I was asked if I wanted to update WMP to 11. I did and now I can connect the stiletto again. Everything works fine. Does anybody know if problems might eventually arise with the use of 11 or do some people have no problem with it?

I know for some of us 11 worked for a while. Then after a while it will no longer transfer music to the 100. It's a tough mistake to install 11, but I finally just sucked it up to do the big fix. A question I'd also like a answer to. Does anyone have WMP 11 installed, and using it without any transferring problems? Or is everyone having problems with 11? Seems to me 11 is not compatable with the current 100 software.

I thought having a makeshift poll would be cool. What are you using windows media player 10 or 11? If 11 how long have you been using it with success? If 11 is a problem for many of us. Might be worth bringing to zing's attention.
