I heard that, I think I could have found a much better and cheaper night light.

My issue with using DishNetwork, which I don't have and probably never will as I prefer DirecTV. But there is no means to do a sleep timer and or alarm clock setup so easily. This is my favorite part of the Soloist/Stiletto combo.

I still wish they would give us the ability to turn off the display and have it only come on when the button or wheel is used. I love this ability on my iPod.

Reading is an important skill for kids. Besides, why not let them see what they are listening to and laughing so uncontrollably at?

Talking They ought to list the night-light as a "feature"!

Yes, the lights on the home dock are much brighter than I anticipated. Right after Christmas when I got the home and car docks, my wife complained about the lights when I left my Stiletto on at night to record shows that I listen to the next day at work. I started putting it in sleep mode when I went to bed but the display would come on sometimes when it started recording or it would start the charging cycle even if it already charged. I told my wife to just close her eyes and it won't bother her but you know how well that went over with her.

So I now cover it with a white ankle sock of mine that looks plain silly, but it works. Boy, I wish I had one of those black sacks that came with the S50. I looked around the house for something similiar but didn't find anything better yet.

You sold your S50?

I took mine to work last week and everyone was in awe over it. I toldit was last year's toy that very seldom get any Love these days. People wanted to listen to my Loved songs. Some said they were spend $79.00 (after rebates) for one. I then told them qbout the Stiletto. The price is too steep for some to shell out. I'm taking the Stiletto to Miami with me this weekend and to the Heat vs Mavericks game on Sunday to see if I get reception in the arena.

I use the black sack that an old pair of oakley glasses came in... fits perfectly and I can use it to clean the screen.. and it don't scratch anything since it was made to hold glasses.

LOL, no blindfold. The solid blue light does not bother me. But that blinking light was a different story! I had to unplug the power cord.

Can Someone tell me the final verdict on when the blue lights should or not be blinking ?

I know when both batteries are charging it blinks. The back slot seems ok, blinks until it charges and then it stops. The front light mostly blinks, even though the battery is fully charged. I've seen it go solid blue only a few times . I've switched both fully charged to the Stilletto in front and the front one continues to blink.

Besides when they are charging does anyone else see the front home dock light blinking ?

If its asleep and a scheduled recording is about to start mine starts blinking for approx. 5 seconds. This is good because it assures me that it is starting the recording.........

If you turn the unit off, does the front light go off ? ( assuming the battery is charged ) It seems the standard battery behaves differently, it blinks alot in front dock but will go solid when charged and stays solid when the unit is turned off .
My extended battery blinks during charges, stays solid when the unit is charged and NO light at all when the unit is shut off. How does some of yours behave ? I'm wondering if it's a bad battery, home unit , or just a quirk ?

Please describe yours. Thanks!
