You can go to sirius.com and then re-send the activation signal. At the bottom there is the "Manage Acoount" click this and log in using your sirius userid and password. The same one you use to listen to the radio on the internet.

After successfully logging in, you go to the MY ACCOUNT page and towards the bottom under the SERVICES title, are the ESN's of your radio(s) Click the one you want to re-activate.

This takes you to the SERVICES DETAILS screen and then you click the Re-send Activation Signal.

Remember to do this the radio needs to have access to the Satelite signal and be on channel 184. You should be able to hear that channel. If you cannot, perhaps your radio still is a bit "Water Logged" and the antenna is shorted out.

Good Luck!

Question

Thanks, I wasn't aware that you could send a activation signal yourself. That's helpful.

Here's my problem though, when I click on the Satellite Radio icon I get a message that "There are no channels available". Also, when I go to Settings/Device/Antenna Aiming, I get a message that aiming is currently unavailable because satellite reception is "off". As such, the activation signal is/was out there for retreival but my Stiletto isn't turned on to look for it.

The only way I know to turn on satellite reception is to click the Satellite Radio icon but that apparently isn't working.

I'm going to do another hard reset, recovery, and then try again.

I called the customer service line but this issue doesn't appear to be on their "top ten" card.

Thanks again. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

The process used to manufacture most electronics involves using water to clean the circuit board. Ergo you can get them wet and then dry them and you should get a working component. What most people don't realize is that it matters how pure the water was that the electronic was dropped into. Pure water does not conduct electricty at low voltages. When you start to disolve things in the water (chlorine in the case of pools, soap for sink water, etc) you run into problems. After the water evaporates from the electronic device, the residue of whatever was disolved in the water remains behind. Its kind of like the "skum" residue that builds up in bathtubs over time. It's this residue that can cause shorts on the circuit board. Depending on the device and how it was manufactured, you can avoid this by soaking in alcohol or warm distilled water. Infact, most WIRED keyboards can be cleaned in a dishwasher.

It really sounds like your antenna is not connected. Try plugging it into a dock if you have one or plug your antenna headphones in. Even without sending the activation signal the radio should work on channel 184.

Try the recovery procedure again and if it still does not work go to warranty and get it exchanged. Don't mention it got wet.

good to here everything works, I did the same thing with my Magellan GPS.
took a hair dryer to it and pulled it apart to allow the unit to dry. took about a week , but all seems to work fine. Even the touch screen.
