Exactly when, during the upgrade, does the battery removal need to be done?

It finished completely saying the updates will take effect next time it is powered on, I shut it off, and went out to the car, placed it in the dock and let it finish.

It sucks to live in an area with no high speed availability. The only option I have at all for high speed internet is satellite and I've read nothing but horror stories on all of those companies and their service. I wish the government would force the phone company to make DSL available everywhere.

Make sure you have some time. Get coffee from a coffee house that offers it, It only took a minute for the download, but a good 10 minutes or more before it started.

Hi,

When I connected my Stiletto 100 to a USB 1.1 port, the update failed partway through (no damage done). When I reconnected to a USB 2.0 port, the update worked perfectly and took about 25 mins. beginning to end.

I agree with previous poster(s), satellite reception seems a little better along with the other improvements, I no longer have to wave the radio around like an aerosol air freshener in certain areas.

Thanks!

No, there are no settings for the clock whatsoever.

After further review....1/2 the distance to the goal!

One of my Stillettos has no performance change on the wifi. Walked 150 feet from the access point. On the other unit it now fails at 1/2 to 3/4 of that distance.

I also noticed that I need to power cycle both units more often to reconnect after a signal loss.

I know the distance before the update because I posted it in another thread defending the wifi performance. "I just walked directly away from my access point, got between 60 and 70 paces away before it dropped. At a minimum of 2 feet per pace, I was at minimum 120 feet away. Most likely 150+ as I think each of my paces is more like 3 feet."

This test was done with the unit that now gets around 75 feet before dropping.

I beg to differ. You can set the Timezone. But not 12/24 hr.

True that sets the time zone, which impacts the clock, but there are no settings specific to the clock itself such as 12/24, sleep mode, alarm etc like on other PNP's.

Hmmm... has anyone figured out why the update is not available to some users via MSS? I seem to be having the same problem. Wifi does not work here so I am stuck trying to do this via USB...

... I still have post tramautic stress syndrome from my experience with the old S50 updates.

Thanks!
