Any one out there seen this?
Any help would be cool..thanks
The message about the USB port means you have older hardware with a 1.1 USB port. It should work anyway I would think as USB 2.0 is supposed to be backwards compatable.

I would not think that would cause a software update error. Did you power off and disconnect the battery from the SL10 before you started. That might help. Then re-connect to MSS and try again.

Thanks for another dial-up report. 3 hours does require some big time patiences.

I have an Inno and while I love it, since getting the Stiletto I don't use it nearly as much. I guess I've become enamored in the Stiletto

Has anyone seen improved battery life. Last night I had my stiletto in the boombox on batteries for over 3 hrs. The battery indicator stayed full the entire time. I was using the satelite not internet.

Maybe as an experiement I'll just leave it on one night with the volume down and actually see if it is better than 4 hrs. now.

I don't think the boombox charges the stiletto does it?

Yes I tried the hard shutdown and took out the battery...no dice. It may have been the comp I was using(a lot of abuse) the software message is what concerns me...I will try again today from my local library if it does not work there it could be a software issue.....

Me_rubin I just started a thread asking about the stiletto "heat" issue...your batt life increase could be related to how hot it runs...have you noticed a temp difference in sat mode?

Coming into the stilletto group only a few weeks ago, from the S50 world, I have not yet listened long enough to completely kill the battery. I really need to see how long it lasts.

Default Recording in standby mode

I have been using the recording feature as an alarm clock. In standby mode, when the recording starts, the stiletto plays through a line in to my alarm clock. Since the update...the recording starts but it's as if its muted ...NO SOUND! If I press volume button or the on/off button it immediately plays. But it can't play through the alarm clock on its own power up for recording as it did before. IS there any way around this except to keep the stiletto on all night ??

I just noticed that I could no longer add favorite artists from a Radio Replay after the update. When I hit "options" the menu is empty instead of offering to save as favorite artist and song.

Before the update I could add favorite artists from a Radio Replay.. This sux!

I downloaded the update. My wifi mode has not worked since day 1 (got it when it first hit cc) and still does not. Everything else seems improved like others have said. Now I still have 2 weeks of Howard to listen to. Thanks for all of the info on this site.

I had to update via MSS since when I connected the unit through wifi it didn't tell me there was any update. The second I connected through MSS it told me about the update.

Sorry it took so long to get back to ya.

Very strange, the one I had problems with was also updated by MSS. If you can afford to dump your content, try the Recovery, if fixed my WiFi issues.

I also did a dial-up update tonight. Took about 2 1/2 hours and worked perfectly.

After finishing on the home dock, my car dock updated in a few seconds, and everything appears to be working fine.

Default computer novice question..

Is it possible to use the MSS sofrware without downloading it to your computer? If I place the disc in the disc drive is it possible to access the update without "saving" it to my computer?

This software requires it to be installed. You might be able to remotely use it via remote desktop. But I don't know if USB ports can be mapped remotely.

Since it installs device drivers for the Silletto and the Stilletto recovery program, you would not be able to run it from a CD. You should also have administrative rights to install it.

Me_rubin, I have never seen an option to map USB ports in Remote Desktop. Serial, printers, drives and smart cards are the normal options.
