DAB, basically the same text that was in their email to Stiletto owners about the upgrade.

Steve - new to Sirius!
First off, Welcome to Sirius and congrats on the stiletto!

Interesting, I just exchanged my stiletto. It does not have the updates, even a month later... I bought it at best buy. Buying directly from sirius might be different. If you go into settings> Device> Device Info, Check those numbers with the ones DAB gave on the first page of this thread. Just for future reference, try to avoid buying from sirius.com, they have just as bad CS as the rest of sirius. Go to a brick and mortar store. They have real people. That speak english. And they are in america.

Default This just in!

I just bought my first Sirius radio this weekend a Stiletto 100. I installed the home dock and car kit with no problems. I installed the MSS software that was included than updated it via the web site with no issues(except it only runs on XP SP2 - BOO!).

I tried to update my Stiletto to the new 1.0.3 code but MSS insisted that there are no updates available. After repeated attempts both inside and outside my firewall/proxy, I broke down and called C.S. The C.S. rep told me that due to problems with the code it had been pulled and I would be notified via email of any future updates.

First post here, lots of excellent information.

Just got my S100 from TSS-Radio last night, very cool unit. Just did all the updates.

One thing I would hope would be addressed in a future firmware update is the issue with requiring Wi-Fi networks to broadcast their SSID. While I know the truly dedicated hacker can find that info and more if they like, I like having three things enabled on my networks, SSID broadcast off, MAC address filtering on, and WEP enabled.

Later on today I will be switching out the Starmate Replay in the truck for the S100.

As I mentioned above i exchanged mine and it didn't have the update. I had previously installed the updated MSS. When I went to update my new stiletto, it would not do it through MSS. I thought it might have been some issue with the update being released under the previous MSS and me trying to update with the new MSS. Sirius figured everyone had updated basically. I connected via WiFi and it downloaded and updated in about 20 minutes.

Sorry about your troubles with your stiletto, so far sirius has been good about fixing immediate problems for me. Try connecting via WiFi if it is available for you. Make sure when doing, you follow DAB's instructions at the beginning of this thread. I didn't and when it showed 100% downloaded I figured it was done and restarted it... noooo... I had to wait for the message.

VERY glad to hear this. This means they have heard of the problems it is creating for us SL10 users I hope. I just got my warrant exchanged unit and will be holding off until further notice.

Can you please confirm if the software updated is still available? I have a Stiletto 100 and using the MSS (since I cannot connect to my home Wi-Fi access point) it comes back that there is no update available. My current version is the following:
ZAP 1.0.3.21105r
OS 1.03.21105
Baseband 00.07.38
Boot Loader: 16645
My Sirius Studio is at 1.3.0.2113

My I called the Stiletto Help Line they were of no help. During the call they said yes it was available. Then when I told them my MSS would not find the update, they changed their mind and said it was no longer available and they had no way of pushing it to me Not sure what to believe now. HELP!

Both your MSS and you ZAP is old. Try updating your MSS then retry updates. Have you tried updating via WiFi?

Hello jfranklin,

Can you please point me in the right direction on where to download an updated MSS? When I go to the following site:
http://www.sirius.com/servlet/Conten...=1172002269747

Version 1.3 of the MSS is the only one available. Is there another place to download the code?

Thanks again....

Yes, It appears you have downloaded the update? can anyone else confirm those number? Go to that website and try downloading the full version. There should be no need to uninstall your old version.

The full version and update versions are different for whatever reason. In order to get the latest version number you will need to download the full version. You do not have to uninstall the previous version. By the way technically there is no different in these two versions except the version numbers.
