No, didn't loose a thing

No, he's not a celebrity, he's a leech praying on the underbelly of humanity, like Jerry Springer

Default Title Logos

It looks like the Logos at the top right of the screen are a little bigger after the update, I don't have to strain my eyes to see the ESPN Radio Logo anymore.

What do you think, or is it just me.

I am nervous about updating.

The last update was in November and when I did that update, I put my stiletto in my car dock the next day and what happens...

The Car Dock STOPS working. It ended up messing up the dock after the update somehow. The stiletto would not power up in the dock. It somehow messed up something in the cig lighter(which I had hardwired behind my dash). I remember a few people mentioning the same problem but they were not sure if it was from the update.

I had to go out and but a new car dock and hardwire the dock behind the dash again.. I am scared this may happen again.

Anyone have that problem in November?

I don't know too much about computers and avoid doing anything extra unless I have to. And anyway, my Stiletto is working okay. So, why update? I don't care about the clock and I don't use wifi because I have only dial-up service out here. Speaking of that, it might take hours and hours to download the update via dial-up because thats how long it takes with everything else I try to download. Does anyone see a real, compelling need to even fool with this at the risk of messing everything up?

Did you do the upgrade or did you do the recovery procedure? The upgrade does not remove anything from your memory. If you in fact just did the upgrade did anything unusual happen during the process?

I think you can see that thus far no one else has lost anything.

Yes, there was certain some logo changes, including the new NASCAR channel. So, I think you are correct.

There are 4 updates in this upgrade, ZAP, OS, Baseband and Docks. So in my opinion if you want a more stable unit, YES you need to do the upgrade. I have been amazed at how much more stable the Stiletto is with this upgrade. The menu's work so much better, plus this fixs dock issues. No one has to upgrade, but I personally think it is very much so worth doing.

Default WIFI Firewall Port

At home, my WIFI works, but I haven't tried it since the update came out. At work, I've tried both a D-Link and a Linksys in B only mode with no security. They will both allow me to connect WIFI, but I get the Channel Unvailable error. I am wondering if the Stilletto WIFI might be using a port that my company's firewall is blocking. Does anyone know which port it uses to connect to the internet? Thanks.

Upgraded using MSS, following instructions you had given, all went well, though I did have to resend signal to get channels back...not a big since I did not have a lot saved.

Hey DAB maybe you can let the people know about this minor problem with the Stiletto. It does NOT put recorded shows in order once the date becomes 2 digits. This has not been corrected with the latest update.

This was a problem for the s50 at first and was later corrected with an update.

An example:

I have a few Howard shows recorded and this is how the order was last week:

ch.100 1/8-6:00 am
ch.100 1/9-6:00 am

Everything look good...all shows in order...but look what happens once Jan.10th show begins to record.

ch.100 1/10- 6:00am
ch.100 1/8-6:00 am
ch.100 1/9-6:00 am

And this process continues for the rest of the month until the new month arrives because I noticed this with previous months.

ch.100 1/16- 6:00am
ch.100 1/11- 6:00am
ch.100 1/10- 6:00am
ch.100 1/8-6:00 am
ch.100 1/9-6:00 am

Once the DATE hits 2 digits, it always puts that date(with 2 digits) on top of older dates until the next month begins. This needs to be fixed so that programs are in Chronological ORDER.

Anyone know if this has been addressed.

Take Care

I think that everyone was just updating this morning and overloading their bandwidth. When my buddy was updating this morning the whole process took about 40 minutes. For me it was about 20-30 minutes.

Is this with dial-up or broadband?
