I did my update at 7am this morning and I have a 16mbit cable connection.
My buddy did it around 9:30am and we were on a 6-8mbit business cable (or maybe we were on our backup T1)

OK, I tried the update on MSS and twice it showed 5 updates. It loaded 1-3 with no problems. When it got to about 99% of 4 is gave me the following message
"Stiletto.could not update device exception could not transfer software update image to the device"
It did this to me twice. I am going to try wifi next.

I'm on broadband and updating via MSS (entire process) took about 30 minutes!

BTW, my Boot loader version is 15448. Why is everyone else's different? I must have gotten a first run Stiletto.?

Did you shut down, remove the battery and restart before starting this upgrade? Most folks that get this error a hard shut down with battery removal will fix it. Just curios.

I am planning to do a closed bug list thread, so I will make sure this gets added to it. Thanks...

So when you went into Sat Mode, after about 30 seconds are so the channels did not come back on their own? You actually had to call in and get them to resend the activation? Because the way it should work is that after about 30 seconds are so the channels will automatically refresh! I am wondering if because you did the reactivation if this caused you to lose what you have prevously recorded. Though that really shouldn't cause that issue either.

DAB,
I couldn't get it to find anything on the wifi. I tried the MSS again and this time it went all the way to the downloading on the my Stiletto, but it seems to have frozen on 54% complete. I didn't disconnect my battery before the initial update attempt, but have twice since then.
Like I said, it seems to be stuck at 54% complete on the Stiletto screen.

A 30 minute download with broadband! And me sitting here with a 36kbps dial up! Now I know I'm not going to fool with it.

I really have no other suggestions, but would like to have you PM me and I will get your ESN and see if there is anything we can do on our end. Perhaps we could do some logging from your Stiletto to see exactly what is going on. If you are willing to particpate in this process let me know via PM.

I make that offer to anyone else that can't seem to get the upgrade via MSS or Wifi after trying the hard shut down/ remove the battery and restarting. Send me a PM.

Thanks...

See my last post and respond via PM please if you are willing to provide your ESN for some logging from your Stiletto.

Default Update after latest update

I updated my Stiletto thru MSS without a hitch (5 files I believe.) Rebooted it then put on both docks which it also updated.

A couple hours later I connected it to my PC and ran MSS just for kicks. Guess what...new update is available. It was only one small file and downloading quickly. I had to reboot just as before.

Any ideas what this last one was?

I think you can see that thus far no one else has lost anything.

Yes, there was certain some logo changes, including the new NASCAR channel. So, I think you are correct.

There are 4 updates in this upgrade, ZAP, OS, Baseband and Docks. So in my opinion if you want a more stable unit, YES you need to do the upgrade. I have been amazed at how much more stable the Stiletto is with this upgrade. The menu's work so much better, plus this fixs dock issues. No one has to upgrade, but I personally think it is very much so worth doing.
DAB, I have my radio sitting in my room on WIFI waiting to get the update, my question is this:

I noticed you said the NASCAR channel has a new logo; did they change the background too? I remember when I had my Stiletto 10, the background wasn't the seats, it was the orange #20 car (Tony Stewart). Did they change the background to that on the SL100 with this update?

Also, how much smoother does the OS run?
