I have the orange car now.

I have no idea.... The original download is 4 files. Maybe one of them failed to download or install for you. Hard to say really.

Merged your thread here, because we'll end up with multiple threads discussing the upgrade.

Also, how much smoother does the OS run?
Yes, new logo and the background with the orange #20 car

I thought it would be kind of cool to see the Stiletto update itself over WiFi, but whatever method they're using to push it isn't very efficient... I hadn't even gotten the "downloading" on the status screeen. I'm not gonna wait all day just for a firmware update.

I'm gonna use MSS (edit: this looks like it gonna be a lot quicker )

Generally speaking withing 2 or 3 minutes of being connected via wifi the download will start. If you are doing the MSS update let us know how it goes.

well I was connected for about 5 to 10 minutes and it didn't start so I decided just to go ahead and do the MSS. It's at 35% verifying right now.

Default Updated my Stiletto

I docked my Stilleto on my home dock, connected via WiFi and the update started immediately. It finished in about 20 minutes with no issues.
The clock is a nice added feature. Now is someone would just come out with some comfy antenna headphones...

I like my Stiletto more every day!

Smile Thanks Sirius!!!

I started to do mine via WiFi, it got to 25% then locked up (locked up the download not my stiletto, I waited for about 5 minutes) I then went to MSS and it took about 5 minutes to download the files then another 10 for my stiletto to do it's thing. After I restarted it I went immediately to sattelite radio, it took about 5 minutes with a "updating sirius" screen (It didn't have sattelite reception so I don't know what this was) then it came up with just the one channel (184) I stepped outside for a sec and it gave me a updated subscription screen and now I am back to business.

In addition to DAB's list I have noticed much improved sattelite reception. I am in Oregon and I stpped over to my sliding glass door facing east and I immediately had 3 bars of SAT reception, before I was extremely lucky to get reception at all.

Update: as I was typing this I wasn't playing anything and it shut off, when I went to turn it back on nothing happened, I did a hard reset and now working fine.

i gotta say i went between home and car docks and used it as a walkman today and never once had to remove the battery. It picks right up where it left off and gets the signal almost immediately and starts playing. Far cry from the original firmware. Good job Sirius.

Default What do I try now

At home, my wifi is working. I've had it in Internet mode for about an hour with no update. I've tried MSS and it still says no update available. I took the battery out while I ate supper and reconnected wifi. Still nothing.

Device Info says zap: 1.0.2.18248r OS 1.0.1.16645

Am I missing a step somewhere, short of doing the recover?

Note: the wifi update finally started!!!

Did my first unit by wifi, doing second by MSS. MSS says downloading x of 5 files. Taking forever on a 20 Meg fiber, they must have lousy servers.

And remind me not to bet against you in the pool for the next update!

I wonder if the servers get too many people connected they start reporting no updates so they don't bog down. This would probably be a good thing otherwise no one would get the updates. As the connections free up others are let in to get the update. Sort of Load balance by denial.

Those not seeing an update might try later and see if this is the case.

Just a thought.

DAB,
I left it on my desk locked at the 54% and went to dinner. When I came back it was done doing what it needed to do. Now it shows the clock. Time to put it in both docks and see what happens.

EXCELLENT! Bought the car dock today to add to my arsenal. My way to celebrate the update. Dock to dock works great. Glad I waited on the car dock. Got all i need now.
