How long does the update for the docks take? It seemed like it said updating dock for about 3 seconds and then disappeared.

Same for me, that's all the time it needed.

That's the same thing for the car dock. It no sooner turned on then said 100%. It might be me, but I am now getting 2 bars inside instead of 1 like before. Maybe that is because of the time of day. I was afraid I was going to have trouble downloading when it locked up, but I listened to my instincts and just walked away from it for a bit. I did miss it because it wasn't in my Explorer tonight.

Thumbs up I tried again tonight when I got home and it worked

Update on my update,

When I got home I docked my S100 in my home dock and connected the home dock to my pc via USB. It opened MSS and automatically started the update procedure. This time it went off without out a hitch. I think there must be some kind of network setting at my work that doesn't allow the MSS software to connect to the Sirius update server?

Either that, or the fact I don't have Yahoo Music Jukebox installed on my work pc is causing problems. Just a thought: Do you have to have the Yahoo app installed for MSS to work properly?

Thumbs up Thanks

Hi.
Thanks for the hand holding for the update. I am new to Sirius Satellite Radio and new to the Stiletto 100. My update went perfectly. I left very comfortable doing the update as I knew what to expect thanks to this forum. This is great place to get info. Thanks again. I will be lurking around.

Just did the WIFI download of the update. I had a minor scare. I went and saw that it was indeed downloading in the background, but I never saw the screens that DAB showed. I thought that maybe it didn't take. I put it in the car dock and presto, the download was completing. After another reboot I had everything! The clock feature is nice. Weird that something so small was actually missed liked that. The clock stays on all the time in WIFI mode, no switching back and forth.

My opinion is that this thing switches through the menus and channels faster than before, although it could be my imagination. I like the new Nascar channel logo and background picture.

These updates seem to go alot smoother and faster than the few that we had with the S-50. Loving the Stiletto. I have yet to have any problems with it other than 1 freeze up after undocking it from the car dock.

What I like is that the clock even stays on when replaying recorded content!! My update took about 30 mins from start to finish. "Great success!"

That's a good guess. I couldn't update at work, but when I got home it started updating right away. I know that at work they don't allow anything except web browsing (port 80 only). That might be it.

But even at home it was still a painful process. First, a scheduled recording interrupted the update. On the second try, it got to "Updating software 99% complete" and stayed there. After half an hour I tried powering off, holding the button down had no effect. I finally removed the battery, worrying I might be about to create a brick. But it started up OK, showing the old software still, and I proceeded on to attempt number three!

This time it got through the update. But after updating from the satellite I couldn't get anything except the message "channel unavailable". When I put the unit to sleep it did a hard reset by itself. After rebooting, everything was fine and the channels were back.

Then, after updating the home dock, it said there was no antenna. I put it to sleep and turned it back on, and the dock worked OK.

A lot of work for a clock, but I do like the clock, so I guess it's worth it!

Hallelujah my brothers and sisters! Lay your hands on your docks and bask in the warmth of the blue glow! Salvation is only 30 minutes away!

Too much? Sorry.

The update ran pretty damned smoothly. I’m glad the engineers and tech heads at Sirius took their time to make sure it was right before they released the updates. No locks, crashes, or loses. The remote & menus seem faster.
Funny, I didn't think I missed the clock till I actually saw it again. . . . .

Great job Sirius!

And Thanks DAB too!

I am wondering if because you did the reactivation if this caused you to lose what you have prevously recorded. Though that really shouldn't cause that issue either.

Did the update for sure....now when I got home and connected wi-fi, all is recovered ! strange but true.......now I notice the faster browsing and logo size !

I see no enhancement to the wifi signal. In fact I tried to do a walk down the street, and only managed 1/2 the distance I was able to do last week.

I am also having problems establishing and reconnecting to the wifi network. This all seems strange to me as I was very happy with the wifi before the update.

It occurs on both of my Stilletto units, and 2 separate access points.

I've already noticed a problem.

If I switch to a channel, and then right after it loads that channel, I turn the wheel again, the screen shows JUST the blue background "movie" with no text on top of it. To fix it I have to hit HOME twice, to bring it back to the main menu then back to the channel screen.

It happened to me in the last version, but not as much.
Anyone else experience this?

Glad to see that all of you that earlier in the day were saying you couldn't get the upgrade, now seem to have it. I am sure some of it has to do with them staggering the upgrades so that they server doesn't get too bogged down (guess on my part) this is why sometimes it says no update available, then the next time it starts the download.

I guess you just have to keep trying and/or leave it connected to the wifi and eventually it will download.

It seems you guys are basically seeing what I am, which is that this upgrade certainly has delt with most of the bugs and has brought the next level of stability to the Stiletto. I could not be happier.

Someone said it was an awful lot to just a clock. This wasn't just to get a clock, all you have to do is read this thread to see that. This was about docking and wifi fixes, OS stability and the clock was just icing on the cake.

I want to thank all of you that have done the upgrade and provided feedback. Keep it coming...

I have tried several times to replicate this, but thus far I am unable to do so. I will continue to try. If anyone else sees this please let me know.
