I know what you mean. I live in a rural area and am stuck with dial up as well. (only 26.4kbps for me). I guess I'll go drive somewhere and park near someplace that has free wi-fi and sit and see if I can get the download that way.

It sucks to live in an area with no high speed availability. The only option I have at all for high speed internet is satellite and I've read nothing but horror stories on all of those companies and their service. I wish the government would force the phone company to make DSL available everywhere.

It actually won't let me do anything now. And come to think of it, the update did finish because I remember seeing the clock feature.

Default update

I saw DABS messege yesterday morning about the update and downloaded it through MSS. Whole process took about 30 min. No problems, I love the fact that the Stiletto seems to move a lot quicker now. Also I saw someones post last night that they thought it might have improved the reception while using the stiletto in sat. mode. I agree, I think it has boosted my units reception. I could be imagining it though. But anyways thanks DAB for the heads up about the update. great job.

Also I was wondering if anyone has had this problem: Sometimes when plugging in my antena headphones the stiletto will say "Antena not detected' I take it out and try again and it works. It's happened like 5 times.

What does it won't let me do anything now mean exactly? It won't come on, it won't go through the menu? Need more information than that statement alone.

It would only let me turn it on and off. None of the buttons worked. I had to reset the unit because taking the battery out wasn't helping. Even after the reset, I am getting antenna not detected when it is in the home dock. It is like it doesn't recognize the dock at all anymore. The remote doesn't work with it. I undocked it and then put it back in and I keep getting Sirius connect. Could it have bricked my home dock?

I am sending you a PM. I don't think it would have bricked your dock, but I can't honestly say for sure. Clearly you are the first person that has any this issue, everyone else maybe didn't get the upgrade offered to them or it was said no upgrade available. But your issue is totally different. Check out the PM and get back to me.

By the way have you tried it on other docks or used it without a dock? Does it work okay them?

Has anyone else used their Stiletto in the home dock since the update? I have not yet tried my car dock.

I have used mine on two home docks, two car docks a Soloist and a Boombox with no issues.

Can you get into Settings/Device/Device Info to see the Dock Version you have are will it not let you do anything else with the Sirius/Connect on the display?

Also on this home dock, have you tried unplugging it from the power for a few, then also power cycling your Stiletto before you plug it into the dock?

I will be away from my computer for a little bit, but will check back in on you soon as I can.

I am resetting right now. I didn't have the connect screen but it wouldn't let me do anything with the buttons.
Dab, you are the man!! It said updating dock, and now it works. I owe you big time. I was preparing to go outside in the blistering cold weather to check the car dock!
It's still working for now at least.

Good deal.... I gotta run for now, but keep me posted!

Apparently your Stiletto was updated, but your dock was not, so this caused the issue. Thanks for working with me, you just gave us some more experience here on the forum. Good Stuff!

Cool

I did my update via MSS last night. Update took within seconds of connecting the Stiletto to my computer and took about 20 minutes to download and install. Then about another 10 minutes once I placed it in my car dock.

Everything looks good, no problems here. All my presets, loved songs, etc, were all there. I'm really happy to finally have the clock!

Default Wi Fi won't connect ch 6

My wifi worked perfectly before this update. Now I cannot connect at all it doesn't even see my network. It does see the neighbors network but not mine. I went into the router settings & changed from channel 6 2.44ghz. It seems to work on ch5 2.437ghz or ch7 2.447ghz. Any idea why? I have a linksys 2.4 802.11 B. Could the update have something to do with a G router ? Please inform... Thanks

I have no idea... My router here at the office is on channel 6 and the one I have at home is on channel 6 and I have no connection issues. I wouldn't think this has anything to do with G, because the Stiletto doesn't support G and will never support G.

This could be your setup. Since noone knows what your setup is then don't expect much help. Many other people have no problem with the WIFI so you either have a defective unit or something is not right with your router. I've heard issues with the dLink routers but not with Linksys.

I'm guessing you've thrown VCR's, DVD Player's, and stereo's in the garbage before. You seem to have some anger issues that need to be worked out.

I Updated at home last night with MSS through my home dock. All was great.
I Used my car dock this morning, and it did a full start-up then updated my car dock. When I got in to the office, it wouldn't recognize my dock at the office untill I pulled the battery. Then it updated the dock and ran perfectly after.

Pulling the bat is an important bit to remember with the upgrade.
