How many people are getting better satellite reception after the upgrade? Oddly enough I was getting full 3 bars in my garage while my car was parked in backwards! No, my antenna is not on the hood of my car.

As far as satellite reception is concerned are we able to get 3 bars while using the antenna headphones now? Too cold out here in Michigan to give it a go around the yard. Maybe someone will know straight away.

As for the channel announcements, IMO, its not fixed. The correct fix would give the user the option of having them off, announce scrolling, announce channel change, announce both scrolling and channel change. Then we can select how we want them to behave.

I think there are many other issues they need to address before we worry about this issue. Like making the auto-dim (display) and auto-shut off while in the car dock or on battery power user configurable or at least turn it off all together. For those annoyed by the channel announcements, you have two options one turn it off, two turn the announcements down where they are barely audible and less annoying.

The two I mentioned above offer no ability to configure whatsoever!

There is an intermittent problem where you are listening to a recording in the library and then a scheduled recording kicks in. At times the unit will get an error and automatically restart.

I have not been able to determine when and why this happens. All I know is it happens about every other time while listening to a recording. It's annoying when it happens but it's really not a huge deal because the unit does recover.

Would be nice to get this fixed though. If it goes unreported then it will never get fixed. Perhaps I will call Sirius.

It has been reported, unfortunately no one seems to be able to replicate the issue. You can't fix something you can't replicate. I have tried a number of times to get mine to do it, but it just doesn't happen.

I basically setup a scheduled recording, then go into Library and start listening to recorded content. When the time comes, the heart comes up and swaps back and fourth with the clock, but that is all I ever see and the recording is always successful.

If you can tell me exactly how to replicate it, I'll be glad to push the issue again.

Well, I guess what transpired the past 24 hours might be a good place to start.

1) Listened to Library recording in car dock.
2) Put in home dock and hit switch for sleep mode. While sleeping the unit did 2 silent recordings. One at 7pm and the other at midnight.
3) This morning took unit out of home dock and put into car dock
4) Listened to 7pm Library recording for about 40 minutes
5) 6am recording schedule kicked in for Howard
6) System detected error and restarted

If you analyze this maybe it has something to do with recording in sleep mode and then listening with a schedule interruption.

Give this a try and see what happens... Perhaps something is getting corrupted during it's silent recording. Obviously it's doing something different while it's sleeping because it doesn't have to manage any of the user controls or the screen. Memory leak while sleep recording?

I will try this and let you know what I find. Preliminarily when I asked about this previous I was told that the Stiletto doesn't support this functionality. You and I both know it does, but the question, is it a supported feature? You and I have sort of gone back and fourth on that one. I don't think it is is and now we've got folks complaining about while listening to Radio Replays and Library that the Sat chip isn't going off since the update and of course this is causing battery drain issues like it did when it was doing it when playing wifi mode (which this did fix).

Once I can replicate it, I'll report it and we'll see what they come up with.
