What have you noticed from it?

1) Clock added
2) Menus are now REALLY snappy
3) Channel announcement does not happen when you make a preset selection

In addition to your list:

1) Very improved SAT Reception, I mentioned in another thread I step over to my eastward facing glass door (I am on West coast) and I used to get no reception whatsoever now I have 2-3 bars. I also ride my city bus regularly, surprisingly enough, I can sit on the inside row and still recieve SAT reception!

2) NASCAR Channel picture, logo and audio.

3) Battery Life Extended? This might just be me...

4) WiFi Reception, DAB mentioned this, I might just be getting my hopes up again but it does seem like I have better reception on WiFi.

After the patch was downloaded to my stiletto, I noticed that there is now a clock. Also, channel announcements do not occur anymore. When you are scrolling through the channel list, the channel announcements do occur.

The FM transmitter is no longer active when the Stiletto is recording from the sleep mode.

Another thing I just noticed, if you press and hold the volume up/down, it is a linear progression not exponential, as before.

i disagree about the channel announcements not coming on when making a preset choice. Mine do. I just turn "say chan" off. I think it's annoying.

If you scroll thru the presets, it says the channel. If you select one by the button on the car dock it does not.

I found that it was very annoying, it would say the channel as you scrolled, then said it again when the channel was selected. Seems better to me now.

I agree it was annoying however I think they fixed it the wrong way. I am annoyed that it still says the channel announcement as you scroll through on the Stiletto instead of saying it when you actually hit a preset button. I wish it still had the channel ID when you hit, for example, Preset 2 or 3 etc. This way, I don't have to look at the device when I'm driving.

It seems like they fixed it backwards----If that makes any sense at all.

What they should have done is built logic to determine if the channel was announced in the last 5 seconds, and skip if it was.

I like the announce while scrolling, so I don't need to look at the unit. I would like the announce off preset or direct tune, but I kinda know which button(s) I had hit.

Makes total sense. I'd rather have the channel announcements happen when you're actually changing the channels...not when scrolling through the presets/channel categories while already listening to a channel. In other words, if I'm listening to Howard 100 and simultaneously scrolling to see what's on other channels, I shouldn't have to hear every channel name that I'm browsing through. VERY annoying.

I would prefer the "don't repeat the same announcement within X seconds" suggestion.

I have the Soloist in a spot where I can't easily see the text, so I typically scroll some pause and wait for the announcement to indicate where I am in the list. But while in the car I reach over, without looking, and press a button. I would like the announcement there to confirm my selection.

This thread only proves one thing, no matter which way they would have changed it, some would be okay with it some would not. It is always a tough chore to satisify everyone. I personally prefer it as they have it now myself, but the good news is if you find it annoying you've got two options. One is to turn the name announcement down very low or to just turn this feature off all together.

I liked the announcement after I picked a choice. While driving this let me know that I didnt scroll again by mistake and hit the button.. or that I hit the right preset on the car dock. I'd rather have it say it twice than have to take my eyes off the road when there's an option not to.

BUT - maybe they should have given an option in the settings. "announce presets when selected". Why not give us some choices since some like it and some don't.

But I still would like the option to come out of sleep in a car dock or at least when it's in standby off the cardock.
