I use a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 Highpower router/AP running DD-WRT. Needless to say, signal strength isn't a problem. I've actually gone down the road with WiFi still on accidently. Didn't notice until I turned..

The plus side is it means it can also be in my pocket while I snowblow and I don't have to use satellite mode..

But Droobie, the sat mode makes for such a nice handwarmer.

Ok, I give me_rubin 6 hours or less to post the handwarmer graphic.

I really don't think it gets that warm... I don't use sat mode a lot outside of a dock but I've had cell phones that get much warmer... Like my old Motorola T series.

WiFi mode is one of the best features ever though, in all seriousness. I can be up in the garage putting in insulation and still catch Stern.. If I want to listen without headphones, I can plug it into the Line In on the cheap Sony boombox.
