Default Boot-up/Sleep Functionality

I carry my Starmate from home to car to office and to appointments and errands a fair amount. I don't want to have to boot-up from off when I do this (45 seconds or more) everytime. I'd rather just wake the Stiletto up from sleep (a few seconds) as I move it from dock to dock. Since it has a battery, can I expect it to work that way? (I see that the recent OS update has helped the overall dock performance)

That is what I do. I just put it to sleep in between docking. I put it to sleep myself, then let it startup by itself when I redock.

Thanks! One more piece of the puzzle in place for me.

Still the big one. The 10 or the 100. The 10 or the 100. The 10 or the 100.

Love the 10's Artist Seek, but like the Capacity of the 100.
Won't much care for the WiFi without 128 kbps streams and the ability to log-in at free WiFi spots.

I say go for the 100. I am glad that I did and so are many others here on SBS.

What sold me on the 100 was the fact that the bottomline is your going to be able to listen to the 100 in more places than the 10. Besides the 100 hours of storage compared to 10 hours the real advantage is that you can listen to your "live" sat. in a lot more places. These days most public places have wifi. It's really easy to jump on also.

What I really like about the Stiletto is the interface. I'm a Mac person, so the usability/coolness of a device's OS is a big thing for me. I wouldn't likely ever upload files to the Stilleto, so that's not a big thing.

As for the WiFi, it seems that most "free" hotspots I encounter these days (outside of home and office-where I have docks and windows for actual satellite reception) have a "sign-in" page just to get on the network. It's my understanding that you can't use WiFi in that case. Also don't dig the 32k stream.

And I sure would miss the Artist Seek. I like having the Beatles pop-up whenever Sirius is playing them.

128 streaming is coming we know that already for the S100. I've had great success in loggin in at Coffee Shops and Delis in my area, but the ability just update via Wifi makes it very nice too. The extra space for storing artist like the Beatles where you can listen to them anytime you want. So instead of getting the little alert, you just save the songs themselves. It's truly a toss up. I just think with the S10 you have to give up way to much other stuff in order to get the song/artist seeks. Get what you feel you'll like best. The 10 hour memory... no way I could personally settle for that. The S100 also allows you load MP3's and WMA's including songs purchased and or Yahoo To Go Service. None of which is available on the S10. The song/artist seek is nice, but it isn't worth losing all those extra for, but of course that is my opinion based on my preferences. I always liked the artist/song seek feature, but I honestly don't miss it now.
