Default Does this make sense?

My Stiletto 100 was scheduled to record at 4:00pm today, and, it recorded as planned.

however, about 2 hours into the recording, I had to power up my computer to do some work, well, it seems that right about the time I powered my PC on, the recording aborted.

Could this have happened because I had the USB wire plugged into the stiletto home dock? I remember when going into the "My Computer" Icon on my PC, that , I saw the ICON for the Stiletto 100 there. I am thinking, that, because the PC probably connected to the stiletto, that, it probably aborted the current recording that was taking place because of the USB connection.

Does this make sense?

After the USB is plugged into your computer, a screen comes up and asks to "stop sat radio" or to cancel "connection to pc."

If you ignore that screen, after about 20 seconds, the Stiletto goes back to the home screen.

I do not plug my dock into my computer unless I need to use MSS.

Yes, i understand that, but, will it interfere with a recording that is happening while it is asking me to make a selection ? It seems like that is exactly what happened.

YES! I had the exact same problem a couple of times.

If you turn your computer on while your home dock is connected to your computer via the USB, it will abort the recording. There will be a message that pops up saying a recording is in progress, do you want to connect to the computer anyway. You can select Yes - abort the recording. Or, No - continue recording. If you ignore the message it will abort the recording and connect to the computer.

The Stiletto will NOT connect to the computer AND keep recording. Think of it as a 1 Tuner DVR. It can only due one thing at a time. It can either record, or connect to the computer.

Like Mich Made said - I only plug my USB into my computer when I need to use MSS or want to transfer music to the Stiletto to avoid interruptions of my recordings.

Thank you for clearing this up for me. After living with my S50 so long, I keep thinking that weird things are happening with the Stiletto. It is like I am scarred from the S50. lol
