Default HI-Point 40 cal pistol. Anyone shoot these before?

I shot my buddies Hi-Point 9 mm and was really impressed. For a $150 gun, I've never seen better. So, I bought me a 40 cal:

They're not pretty, but for the price, the aim is outstanding.

Oh, and for Sirius_Rich, does adding multiple gun ownership to my avid fishing, military resume now move me from liberal elitist to ULTRA liberal elitist? I might have to vote Green Party if I buy the shotgun I've been looking at.

I heard that Hi-Power 9mm's can give you a nasty hammer bite.

They're cheap and ugly, but I haven't seen better for the money. For under a grand, you can pretty much build an arsenal of high point weapons.

Yeah, it's not something I would see myself getting...

I've actually had my eye on a S&W Springfield XD .40 Cal

$488

I might get it with that free Alaskan oil money that I received the other day.

Here is a coupon/rebate for some S&W guns. It began 10/1 and ends 12/31

Yea, if I had $500 to spend I would probably would have bought something else. But, I only had a few hundred. Once the army starts paying me I plan to pick up something nice for home security. These little cheapies are fun because they're disposable, but not something you want to be using for protection.
