Default 2 Dating question

Okay, this might sound like an odd spot to ask but I love reading and posting here so I thought I would ask this question to you peoples.

I rarely date. Maybe once or twice a year. I have a blind date tonight. All I know about her is she is in her mid 40's and I am in my mid 30's. She has no children or been married. I am a single parent of two young girls.

The question is: Do I take the mini-van or take the Honda Helix scooter. She likes Harley's and my scooter is a 250.

I like to wear hats, however I'm thin on top (putting it politely). If I wear the hat that would be me, but I don't want to appear as I am hiding or embarressed about my hair line (or lack of one). So do I wear a hat or not?

We do have similiar music tastes so I think she might like Sirius.

First things first: Calm down. Don't please her, please yourself. If you like the Honda, take the Honda. Screw her if she looks down on you because she likes Harleys. If you wear hats, wear the hat.. again, just do what you would do if you were going out with your friends. Don't even think of it as a date. If she likes what you are, then things are good. If she doesn't, and thinks you are hiding/compensating/whatever and bails, then you are no worse off then before I say..

exactly......... You just need to breathe, be yourself and look at it with the point of view that if she can't be happy with who you are "warts and all" as they say then she isn't the one you need to be with...

Do what makes you most comfortable. You want her to like you for who you are not who she wants you to be. Otherwise, if you get together for longer you're stuck being someone else for a long time and that will give you a headache.

Now the absence of hair I would worry about because no doubt she is perfect in EVERY regard and would demand nothing less for yourself. So quickly go out a buy a wig--they're the best. By the way--I too am balding so I would stand no chance at all with this woman.--Okay, now I being silly; you caught me.

So do it for yourself, be cool, have fun.

Take the scooter, wear a helmet and make her do the same. Take her to a near by fishing hole and skip rocks on the water. Tell her that you had a bad experience once where a friend accidentally hit you with a rock and that your afraid to take the helmet off. I'm sure she'll keep hers on as well and all will be fine.

To quote Hamlet:

"This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man."

Definately be yourself. When I fell for DaJoker it was because he did "smart geek stuff" and had nothing to do with what he looked like or what he drove. Of course now, I just think he's always sexy - even after getting all sweaty and icky out mowing the grass.

All I can say is you know that a forum has become a community, not just a source of information, when you spend more time answering posts about relationships, than you do about Sirius Receivers! This is my second one today!!

Budkeiser, Chill. Be yourself and have fun tonight! Best of Luck!
