Default IPOD Help

The wife and I are looking at getting the kids IPODS this year for Christmas. We have looked at several that Best Buy offers and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on which IPOD is the best. We are looking at the ones that they can play videos on or movies I guess along with tunes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brian

Well if you want the videos you are locked into the Video iPod they come in Black and White and the U2 iPod which is Black and Red. They have them in 30GB and 80GB for $249 and $349 and the U2 iPod is $279.

If you can live without the video functions you can go for the iPod Nanos which come in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB the 4GB have the pretty colors and the Project Red where $10 goes to AIDS Research

There is also the Bad Ass Shuffle that clips onto anything 12hrs of Battery and is great.

I have the 80GB Video iPod and the shuffle.

How compareable is the IPOD Nano 30GB to the Creative Labs Zenvision 30GB? Is there one better than the other or are they pretty much about the same internally?

I thought about getting the Project Red 8GB iPod, but they don't ship to P.O. Boxes. Plus, I think my girlfriend would get mad if I bought more electronics...

Even without the video functions on the iPod itself, you can still play video content through iTunes. There are also parental controls on both so they're not downloading the Sex is Fun podcast or something.

It's false. A guy admitted he faked doing a touch screen iPod.

The touchscreen video iPod was leaked on Apple's website in the Apple Development Center talking about how developing software for the "touchscreen" iPod that has been removed.

It is rumored to be announced at MacWorld in January of 2007, But 30GB all the way I would say.

I don't know guys... it would depend on the age of these kids... if they are still at the age where they are rough and tumble... I wouldn't recommend the hard drive model. I stick with the flash drive model. I've avoid the Creative unit, they have zero accessories and creative support is even worse than SIRIUS's if that is possible!

That may work now, but once you get married they will see that is a ploy to get what you want.
