Turkey and a whole lot of booze. Nothing like Thanksgiving with 30 of your in laws.

Dinner is at 3.30 and I'm usually drunk by 4.

Nobody has finished a slice of my mile high chocolate cake. Not even my other cousin with the biggest appetite.

Well, I'll be driving over to my cousin's place for a Scandanavian feast:

- Cornish Finnish Michigan Pasties
- Knefla Soup
- Finnish Squeaky Cheese
- Lefse
- Baked Apples with Warm Gjetost Rum Sauce
- Danish Liver Paste
- Oysters Helsinki
- Matjes Herring

All this will be washed down with Scandinavian Spiced Mead Honey wine and a bucket of Globb.

And for dessert: Krumkake!

Actually I don't quite know exactly what they'll be fixing, but it probably won't be what one would consider a "traditional" Thanksgiving feast....but it WILL have Turkey in there somewhere! Gotta have that Tryptophan fix!

Afterwards me and my cousin will probably run a quick 3-6 mile run to burn off all those calories.

Turkey brined with Kosher salt and dark brown sugar
Rosemary and roasted garlic mashed potatoes
Traditional yankee dressing
White Castle dressing (replace bread with White Castle burgers sans pickles and mustard)
Gravy made from homemade turkey stock and dark brown roux
Yeast bread dinner rolls
Fresh green beans
Cranberry sorbet
Pumpkin Pie
Pecan Pie
I am making this all myself from scratch.
Preceeded with bloody marys, folowed up by cold beer half snoozing watching football, I will try to wake up for the KC vs Denver game, while the old lady does dishes!

I have to deliver a load down here in Houston this morning. After that I don't know where I'll be going. Hopefully I can pull into a truckstop sometime today and have something warm...

Or a Whataburger...

normal stuff mainly. but a lot of it. with my italian mother in law its always safe to assume there will be some kinda pasta. then just turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes etc.

what im looking forward to most is dessert. my wife made an apple pie, cookies and 'black and white brownies' (basically white and milk chocolate brownies!!!!) cant wait for dessert!!!
