Cool NFL Games on NFL Network!

Im just so happy that we will get a thursday night game on tv for the rest of the season, it rocks. also...the KC v Denver game thats on tonight is filled with sirius commercials. I have not counted exactly but i would say i have seen sirius on the screen at least 15 times since the start of the game. Its good stuff i just hope a lot of people are watching, i know nfl network is only on digital cable in most areas.

I just posted something in the Sports forum about NFL Network. I upgraded to digital just for the NFL Network. I get home and my cable company (insight) is not showing the game, they do not want to pay the extra money for the actual game. I'm so mad. I guess I'll spend my Friday complaining along with everyone else. I also just open todays paper and both insight and sigecom are not going to show actual games on the channel.

Time to cut the cable and go with 100% Digital channels and not the 50% that "Digital Cable" gives you.

It was great to have 3 games yesterday but man Gumble makes Collinsworth sound good and I hate that guy.

Cable is screwing the pooch on this NFL Network thing. If they want to dangle a carrot to get subscribers to buy more services, they need to assume that those same subscribers may jump ship when they see who else sells carrots. The switch to dish as nearly as good a decision as my switch from briefs to boxers.

I'd switch to DirecTV if Comcast didn't take the right for high-speed internet away from me without a cable package

...and a contract.

No game on the NFL network for I would have been highly pissed and would switch to sattelite tv if I were you. If you pay to get something it should be there and not alter. Call your cable provider and ask them why you didn't see the game last night on the nfl network.

So they give you a $10 break on a cable internet, hardly worth it when you consider that you pay more and not all the channels are digital. I get DSL anyway, the less I have to do with cable companies the better.

My cable went out (for a few days) everytime it would rain real hard. I switched my mother and brother to Directv a few years ago in Baltimore and they have never looked back.

The only time that I get rain fade is when it rains so hard (so hard that you would have to pull over if you were driving) and then its only for a min or two.

As far a contract, you do that for the free equipment and installtion. Just like when Sirius and XM give away equipment they want you to stay long enough to pay for the equipment. I also don't change how I get my signal every month so a 12 month contract is nothing.

I laugh everytime I see one of those cable commercials.

In Houston when I turned in my cable modem there was a older couple getting cable and they mentioned that they were thinking about satellite but they decided against it. The lady that was helping them as bad mouthing satellite just like the cable ads on TV, and at the end after they had finished signing up for Cable and gotten their cable boxes and they were about to walk away she says. "Oh, by the way, cable is out right now in your area, they will have it back on my tomorrow" LOL

Man that sucks that the NFL Network isnt showing the games in some areas. Id switch to satellite but I don't need watered down HD. Plus I will be all digital on Monday with cable.

The NFL Network is showing it. It is the cable company you are giving more cash to Monday that may opt to not show it.

not to further derail this thread but dsl here in chicago (atleast for me) has completely shit the bed. connection constantly drops and pages are loading at a snails pace. sbc had the nerve to tell me that I would be charged for any technician that came out to the house so I told them to piss off. Cable guy will be here sunday to hook the cable back up.

I saw the Denver/KC game Thu. night on my DirecTV. Great picture. No dropouts.

The only time I've ever had dropouts was when the weather was so severe I turn stuff off and unplug it, anyway. I've had more failures from cable surges than any other cause, before I installed a coax surge supressor.

Must be nice to have a choice. In my area you either get Time Warner, or you get nothing. Of course there's always the satellite option, but none if you want to stick with cable. If it was my choice, I'd dump Time Warner in a second. Oh how I miss having Adelphia.
