I'm just enjoying my day off, relaxing and surfing the web while eatin' my Sirloin Burger w/Country Vegetables Chunky Soup and stumble into this forum ...when all of a sudden someone compares it to bloody dog food?! What the hell man?

Oh, dog meat. That I have absolutely no problem with. I believe it's only sold in Korea as of this point but could be hitting the States as early as next year. When I visited Seoul around 4 - 5 years ago, I ordered something from the menu knowing full-well it contained dog and that it was considered a delacasy over there. It turns out it was actually pretty good...tasted a little like duck meat.

Exclamation

Kaegogi as they call it in Korea...

Here's the wiki on dog meat...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_meat

When I was stationed in Korea, my girlfriend at the time, told me that Kaegogi is great for people who are sick, in the hospital, and need something high protein.

If these people live in a culture where it is acceptable to eat dog then they should be allowed to do so. What right do we have to tell them they are wrong ?

It's beef, it's just from parts of the cow that don't have a name...

What were those things that Al Bundy loved that were made from "beaks and claws"?

Weenie Tots!

"Delicious meat-flavored treats that evaporate after prolonged exposure to air; ingredients: beaks, claws and fingers*; they smell like rat shit."

I still like cheese, BTW.

That's the whole problem. I have no issue with people who want to eat dog meat. Just don't eat my pet.

I do have a problem when they purposefully torture the dog because they believe that hormones released when the dogs are tortured increase the meats aphrodisiac effect.

Can't hardly walk a block without running into a Korean or Vietnamese restaurant around here, didn't realize there were that many in TN these days.
