Anyone know of some good freeware that can capture audio from IE? I have tried a few but to no prevail.

You don't really need a mixer. If you grab Audacity and set it to record "Stereo Mix" or "What You Hear", just make sure every other program that makes noise (i.e., IM's, e-mail) is closed. A mixer makes it a little easier, but is not required.

Get an Audigy 2 - 4 sound card comes with everything you need.

I actually tried out audacity and it worked great! For some reason, I didn't want to pull directly from what was playing on my sound card, so I changed it to Microphone and put a stereo plug from my audio-out directly back into my mic. Works like a champ and suffices for what little I want to use it. Thanks for the help everyone!
