Default I love the buzz "QVC" type programs create

I was just surfing and slinging some TV, watching Shop NBC (DON'T ask why I was watching this...cause I have no idea). I hear the salesmen pimping this watch and how it's impossible, IMPOSSIBLE to find it ANYWHERE for under $2,000. So I plugged it into froogle, and this came up:

I realize TV/big box retailers can't compete with internet pricing, but this struck me funny. The salesmen were hilarious. Hell, they almost convniced me to pick up the phone and buy 3 of them NOW....they kept saying how they were about to run out of inventory b/c they were selling SO FAST. Maybe it's the Stoli talking on my part, not sure..but it was entertaining to hear these guys go nuts trying to sell this watch.

Good thing I'm off next week...

Yea, I think that they were initially trained to sell Kerby's...

Over that, how do you like that Slingbox? I've been thinking of getting one.

I LOVE the Slingbox. It's one of the greatest tech inventions I've ever bought. I watch my recorded Dish Network programs, and live Dish TV anywhere. I even watch my TV on my PPC-6700 cellphone!

I say if you are considering getting one, the following link has it for $108 shipped (must use Google Checkout). That deal can't be beat.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Jesus, that's all I need, an excuse to spend more money on things that I don't need.. As it is, I'm torn between an Wii (when they are actually available without spending the night at BestBuy) and a 360.... Kids want a Wii for the Nintendo franchise games, I want a 360 for Gears of War.

Yea, with the Slingbox, how is it streamed? Ie, what port(s) need to be open on a firewall? Also, is there a player client for Palm or can I use Mmedia or another player?

Yea, I know... Knowing how I am, I'll probably get the Wii and then the 360 at a later point in time to have both :\
