Default Good Car Receiver under $200?

It's gotta have 1/8" jack for my PNP. Looking for something "satellite ready" for controlling Sirius and later on XM. Good sound and decent power.

OR...should I spend $100 on the face and another $100 towards upgrading the speakers?

Car is a 03 Mustang, factory everything.

You'll have a hard time finding a decent head unit with an aux-in for $100. Better stick with that $200 limit.

Pioneer is a good head unit but I believe they're in bed with XM, although Sirius works with it. The problem with head units with built-in sat radio controls is that they don't have anywhere near the features of a Plug and Play unit. For example, I don't know of any HU that has the replay functions or song/artist seek (they may be out there by now, but not last time I looked).
I would probably stick with using the head unit as an input for a PnP unit.

You may also consider, instead of upgrading your head unit, using an FM relay like this:
Matter of fact, for the $21 price, I would probably try that first, and see what you think. I tried it at one time and was pleasantly surprised by the quality - but ended up taking it back and getting a Pioneer HU with aux-in since I had a Circuit City gift card to burn.
