Default Where is the Siri boom box?

Over the weekend I was in the local wall mart and asked for the Siri boom box. The clerk said they only carry XM.

Today I was at the outlets in Pennsylvania and walked into a Sony store and asked for the Siri boom box. He said the same thing. I said you should get Siri products because they have better programming and equipment.

The local Best Buy has the plug-ins and recommends Siri equipment but didn't have the boom box. The local CC didn't even have the plug-ins much less the boom box.

Where the hell can I get the boom box for my office?

Also, isn't it true that if you get the boom box it is on the same monthly account as the car radio? No extra billing - right?

There is no boombox that is capable of recieving Sirius. Delphi makes one for XM though. There is also a rumor that a Sirius boombox is being produced by Audiovox. Nothing has been officially announced though. Word is it may be coming by Christmas, but I doubt they will be able to make it by then, since they haven't even announced it yet.

AudioVox isn't real good at announcing their new products in advance so it could come out as early as next month. They need to get it into stores in October to make Christmas sales.

When I purchased my Sirius shuttle last month at Circuit City, I was told that the boombox would be out for the Christmas Holiday. I also talked to a Sirius representative and she told me the same thing -- that a boombox would be available for the holiday season. I am looking forward to the arrival of the boombox!

The previous quarterly conference call indicated the same thing.

What are ya'll talking about? I picked up my Audiovox Shuttle Boombox tonight at CC..... Man this thing is nice... it bumps... OH Yeah!!!

Don't I (we) wish!!! I just hope that is a dream come true at some point in the next month or so. I can't imagine what the heck is taking them this long to get a boombox out there. Then again, we don't even know if they are actually going too, tha the sad part.

I would love the boombox coming out next month (October). It would so sweet having it playing during Christmas parties. I think it would also really boost sales/subscriptions to have the boombox available for those wishing to buy satellite radio for Christmas gifts.

I heard the following in the 2Q03 conference call:

-Home units out October, first Kenwood then Audiovox(Kenwood's was just announced).

-Audiovox Boombox out in November

-JVC PNP by the end of the year.

I believe that is all we are waiting on unless somebody knows Sirius has something up their sleeve.

Those are my words, he just pointed to teh display. He had what looked like the sony pnp xm radio and the funny looking one. Both were sirius. I cant say either tuged at my wallet by looks alone. So far my jensen been working ok, If i bought a new one I would want the most uniersal, in this case for use for the boom box accessory like xm has. I would really, really like a walkman, no not a kit, but the real thing, so think my best bet is to wait.

I'm waiting for the JVC PNP, as hopefully it will be pretty cool. Sirius isn't saying jack about it, other than it will be out by the end of the year. By that, I expect that it will be announced officially in 2 months or so.
