Default SIRI closes @ $2.02

I cant believe that nobody's in here celebrating. Well I think it hit $2.20 not to long ago and than crashed back down to $1.60, so maybe everybody's scared this isnt going to last. Hopefully we can stay above $2.00 this time and start working torwards $3.00.

Anybody out there think this will last ?

One could hope, but I think whether it holds 2.00 or not really depends on the sub numbers. If they announce sub numbers that doubled qtr to qtr (which is very possible) I don't think it will fall below 2.00 again. If it's just ok sub numbers then it will definitely go below 2 again. I'm still sticking with my estimate from a few months ago that the stock will be at 2.50 by year end.

That would be nice. I'm kicking myself in the behind for not buying more XM when I bought Sirius. It was @ 2.05 a share.

Wow, just think if you had bought XM at 2.50 and held. I think at these prices, both stocks will track each other pretty closely. So if one doubles, the other is also likely to double (assuming no unforseen problems). I like the fact that Sirius starts generating free cash flow at 2 Million subscribers compared to XM's 3-3.5 million.

I know. I would have bought about 500 shares more. I would have made roughly $7,000. Darn it!!

I am reminded of Will Rogers advice on the stock market. Buy a stock. When it goes up, sell it. If it doesn't go up, don't buy it.

Would that it were so simple!

Default 2.02 close @ but goes up to 2.04 in after hour trading

I heard it went to 2.04 in after hour trading.

I'm kicking myself for not buying when it went down to 1.50 but it was just too volatile and risky at that point. I was prepared to lose my investment and held. This is still a good buy as it goes higher as subs increase.

That's IF it goes higher. There is substantial risk in this stock. There is NO guarantee that it will go up or even that you won't lose some or all of what you invest.

Default stock

Interpreter: Oh ye of little faith. I said the stock was volatile and risky. It should rise as the subs do and the indicators for the current surge say it is sub-driven. The manager of my local CC told me XM sold more by 4-1 but now it's a dead heap. He bought Siri because of it's superior equip and programming w/ no commericals.

I held when it dropped below 1.60. Losing my investment won't break me. That's why I didn't bet the bank but will add more at the right time. This stock isn't for the faint hearted and anyone who is should get out. I have the product, believe in it and that it will go up and become the next cable TV. Again, anyone who doesn't believe that should get out.

Well, the good news is that other than the "fool" this stock is starting to get some positive attention. People will jump on the band wagon because they cant afford XM. $2.50 by years end sounds like a low estimate to me. We definately need to hit our 300,000 thats for sure !

I too had my heart set on SIRI from the begining. I couldve bought XM instead, and in hindsight probably should have, but we'll see where things stand in a couple years. I can only hope that Sirius follows the same path as XM (atleast as far as sub numbers to stock price ratio)!!

Up a little again today .03 last I checked. Lets settle into those $2's.

I would definitely like to see the new lows to be above 2.00 from here on out. It's looking strong today that's for sure. I continued to buy SIRI when it dropped into the 1.70's and even picked some up at 1.45 and 1.50. I have been holding a good sized position and buying and selling additional shares. Since April, my portfolio is up around 68%, mostly from trading SIRI stock (and I bought a good chunk at 2.14).

I'm a believe in the long term. The subs have to come in strong this quarter and the stock will have left the below 2 price forever imo. I'm gessing 170-180, but would like to be pleasantly surprised. Anything in this range should be acceptable, but higher subs and the stock should really take off.

I got into SIRI when it was very low, But bought it for the long term. i havent mastered the buy low/sell high buy more and do again routine but have noticed a few times with this and other stocks that I couldve improved my position by doing so. I guess I'm old school. Buy it, sit on it, and see what happens. Maybe someday i'll open an online acct. and try it.
But for now i'm hoping Sirius will be worth $16.00 in a couple years.

It's tough to know what to do, as the stock I sold to buy Sirius has been producing almost the exact same results. I guess I figure it's good to be more diversified as opposed to having all my eggs in one basket.

If anyones interested check out "PARS" Risky at best, but lately been about the same as Sirius with about the same risk/upside.

I'm open for opinions -

I believe in Sirius and I believe that they will ultimately be a good investment and a succesful company. However, I think at $2.00 a share, it is VERY overvalued. Remember that every $.01 in price represents $10M in market cap. Right now this company lost $100M last quarter and will probably have a similar loss this quarter, and looks like it will have a revenue of roughly $10M this year.

All of this means is that there is a very very large amount of speculation in this stock. Lots of people are betting on the succes of Sirius already, and this stock tends to get ahead of itself. I think we may see price over $3.00 if Sirius meets its numbers at year end, but Id be surprised if we see it before then.

Sounds reasonable to me. But if you wait a year or two until it seems like a better buy, the price will be much higher. Looking at XMSR the same way you look at SIRI what do you see ? Isnt XMSR way overvalued at $16 ?? Or does 500,00 more subscribers make that big of difference ?
Besides the fact that in some peoples opinions Sirius has a better financial stuation right now !?
