YOU NEVER KNOW
WHEN TIME MIGHT RUN OUT
BE READY WHEN HOWARD COMES TO SIRIUS

0 months 27 days 0 minutes and 0 seconds

It shows 4mo 27 days for me.

I doubt he will come early because Sirius would have to fork over some serious cash to make it possible. I don't see it happening.

Hasn't Infinity gone on record saying that Howard would not be granted permission to go to Sirius early, regardless of what happens in his current situation? I could be mistaken, but I thought that's what I heard.

If corolla and roth start and it leaves Howard with no place to broadcast his show, i.e. infinity tells him he is done then sorry Inifinty looses. If infinity lets him out of his contract then he can do what ever he wants. It happened in philly just a couple of months ago when a station tried to cry non-compete but that station changed formats so they lost.

this morning corolla said that Infinity told him that they plan on keeping Howard through the end of his contract.

Corolla said he won't be ready to start until the 1st of the year

When you click Howy's link for the countdown clock it comes up correct (4 months, etc.....). The 0's must be a Java or HTML mistake.

Umm...if they FIRE him, then yes. If they cancel his show, then he is stuck under contract until it expires.

This is why Opie and Anthony were off the air for two years. They had a contract that wouldn't let them go anywhere else.

The reason I said it the way I did was that the 2 guys in philly had the same type of contract. Their contract was up and they were to stay off the air for 6 months. They were off for 2 or 3. The station claimed non compete but they changed formats and that is what the 2 guys sued over since they were not competing anymore. The station didn't have a leg to stand on.

You are probably right about the stern deal though but only because it is stern and infinity is huge and will fight where as the philly station is tiny compared to infinity.

Oh well I would rather have Sirius start his stations in september and have recorded shows while he is on his bus tour than to not hear him at all.

In the FAQ's on Stern's site, it says he will be completing his entire current contract. So don't look for him on Sirius before January.

In the past he wants to do a U.S. tour to the city's that support him for all these years on FM. I wonder if he still plan to do it before he comes to Sirius?

this is just on orbitcast.com

A study by Bridge Ratings & Research since Fall 2004 has some pretty interesting results. According to the study, Sirius Satellite Radio will gain an estimated 980,000 new subscribers from October through December, and pick up another 500,000 in January, for a total of 1.48 million new subscribers by February of 2006.

10% of those surveyed say it was “very likely” that they would subscribe to Sirius by December 31st and also intend on giving subscriptions as gifts, which would account for more than 50,000 additional subscriptions.

Q4 should be very interesting….
