Dude, it is strange that the average nearly doubled. I know it varies day to day, thus the use of an average. This still doesn't change the fact that the majority of 2006 models are delivered in September. Any jump like that should be questioned. There was no holiday, no hardware giveaway, nothing really out of the ordinary.

And if you think that the additions really grow like that, you are mistaken. They grow around special events and/or promotions. They do grow gradually as they get more exposure, but they do not double from month to month.
Yea, but you don't know what they averaged in July, nor August, nor September. You're comparing an average from 2 1/2 months, to half a month. 2 of which I assume are shltty for new sub additions.

Your stuck on my simple example of sub counts; obviously they don't have to double every month to get that figure. Maybe the new channel line up added a few more subs, or the new hardware, or cheap sales of old hardware, or maybe the 2006 models?

Take a look at the data from bridge ratings:

Is it too far fetched to assume they could/have seen the same figures in Oct, this past month? I don't thinkso.

Sounds like GM cars are killing us. Theres more GM factory installed cars with Xm then all Sirius subs combined.

Ford and the other OEMs have been extremely slow compared to GM.

Ford does nothing, but piss me off. They have done nothing but drag their feet since day one. They should be pumping out factory installs on every new vehicle. Instead the dealer has to order them that way or else they don't come with it. Such Bull Shit!

There are 7 ppl from my church 3 of them Stern fans who went with XM because of the better programming for the 35+ Black audience.I try my best to push Sirius but then ppl hear my friends XM`s programming and it`s a done deal.Sirius realy needs to rethink it`s programming geared towards the Black community, there is so much lacking that Sirius is pushing the ppl I know to XM.

Sirius needs to address the Black audience over 35 for sure. Instead they keep taking away choices. They need to sign a big name like Tom Joyner and let him program the channels. Sirius needs at lest 2 more channels for this demograpic.

This is a good point. With the number of cars equipped with XM vs. Sirius, many people will have their first exposure to satellite by simply riding with a buddy or family member that has XM. Notwithstanding advertising, content, and word of mouth, some people will hear satellite that initial time, get hooked, and go with what they first heard that seemed so cool. This is one of the great hidden advantages of having the factory-installed car radio edge.
