I wish it would recieve live, even though most say that the connection is horrible and that 30% of portables get returned anyway. Either way, it's a huge step for their products, pact w/ features, nice lookin unit, with 50 hours playback. The car kit is cool and the executive dock looks amazing to me. Really sleek lookin product, will def sell dispite its high price.
I agree it will sell fairly well. I'd guess that you will probably be able to pick up the receiver AND home dock online for about 360 bucks, which is the MSRP for the receiver alone.

If "no live music on the go" portables like the S50 weren't going to sell, you wouldn't see XM releasing a similar unit. XM's Samsung NeXus will also not have "live music on the go" capability.

If the NeXus debuts at a noticeably lower price, Sirius can simply reduce the price on the S50.
The nexus is a decent lookin product. Too bad we don't have Samsung on our side, I love their shit. I hope we get some more new recievers this fall, would be great to get some new more appealing recievers out, other than just the s50, replay, and one. SIRI is def. catchin up on the hardware front.

I hope SIRI does everything right this winter, get new products out, makin sure we have them on the shelves, advertising up their ass. Showin off the NFL, Martha, Stern + new recievers... I wanna see specials/promotions/gift cards, online ads, radio ads, tv ads -whatever the hell they have to do. I wanna blow out this quarter.

I’m not saying it won’t sell but a lot of stern fans are coming onboard and many of them need to be mobile. Sirius also touts its sports which are great and NASCAR coming in 07. However most of these great selling points are better live than in replay mode.

Sirius MUST have units available for 4Q 2005 and 1Q 2006. It seems a lot of people still don’t know the difference between XM and Sirius and I think XM will sell units by default if no Sirius receivers are available.
Sportster, Car kit, Home Kit and Boombox.

Nascar coming in 2007 and Howard in 2006----Id rather have sirius bring out a radio that doesnt have the problems like the XM one did as well as not needing that xtra sat ant. which is an eye sore--Wait longer, get it right the first time with a superior product--Im some the XM guys are also looking to improve their portable and they are ahead of sirius with the lastest chips--If they dont bring one out next year--this will be bad
