Default Where is the Bottom????

If the bottom is in sight, please let me know. Sirius just keeps falling and falling. When will it end? This would be a good buying opportunity for anyone who has some extra cash out there lying around. Unfortunately for me, I do not have any more to put towards Sirius right now. However, if it goes back to the 5.60-5.80 range, I will have to come up with it somehow....

I was just stoppin by to ask the same question. It's gettin scarily close to my entry point and I'm tempted to bail. But at the same time IF they manage to hit 4Q numbers this should be a prettier picture come January.

Sirius is sure putting a lot of faith in Stern right about now. And apparently the street isnt as confident.

I just got in a few minutes ago. Bought at $6.11, then one minutes later it's at $6.10.

This is my first stock purchase. I am pretty excited.

Can I retire yet? LOL.

No, it has to go up for that to happen

If you are excited now, wait until it goes up or down in any significant way!

Congrats on getting into investing in Sirius

I am not going anywhere. My shares will not be changing hands any time soon. I have been invested in this stock when it hit ROCK BOTTOM at 37 cents, I bought some at 45 cents. I am just curious where the bottom is now. I thought that in this period of the year it would be going up, not down. Question is, what happens when earnings come out? It usually has a run up beforehand, and then a sell off after. Looks like a sell off now. Whats going to happen then?

If this stock drops another 8-10% from here, down to 5.60, I am going to be loading up on a lot more shares. This is not the time to be nervous, this is the time to be thrifty.

XM has been falling also, so its not just limited to Sirius.

Frankly the price is a little high. Sirius is actually valued higher than XM ATM and in my mind they should be putting up bigger sub numbers to earn a valuation like that. Especially since Sirius is hemoraging cash buying up rights to content.

Until that content starts to generate subs (More subs that XM adds), which it hasen't yet and time really is dwindling, I can't see Sirius going any higher than it is and in fact is over priced in the short term. Why pay more for a company that is adding subs slower than its rival and is valued higher? Not a wise investment choice.

IF Stern does pay off big then we might see some more increase but TBH the price of the stock seems to be factoring that in already. If Sterns contribution isn't what people expect it could go down further and even if Stern does get the expected numbers the price might still not go up much since its pretty much expected to happen.

If you looking short term I'd argue this isn't the stock to hold. Long term you'll be fine.

When the market as a whole is dropping, and the tech sector in particular is going poorly, the Stern impact becomes vitually irrelevant to stock performance. XM is getting rolled up too. It's a very volatile time right now, and satellite radio stocks will be impacted big-time in this environment.

im just going to save up a lot of cash, throw it into my account and wait till this thing hits rock bottom or close. instead of investing money as the damn thing drops.

i guess a lot of factors have to be addressed here. i think a lot of people are hoping that stern just makes it sky rocket, i thought i was making a great investment but i feel now that i should have waited instead of jumping the gun.

thanks for the info guys

The problem with that strategy is you never know where the bottom is, and you can easily miss the boat on the way up.

ya i know what you mean, i mean i also know that everyone is saying that they want it to go down and that its over priced but we as the people on this forums dont really have a say in much if the stock starts going up or down. i mean you really just have to pay attention to the market.

i am going to try and hold out a bit more so it drops a bit more though

I'd second M4's opinion... buy on the way down.... although Siri is overvalued... there is a hell of a lot of upside as we approach earnings release, then the holiday season.

Default Buy now instead of waiting for a bottom.

I wouldn't wait to much longer to buy. As, the poster said earlier ... if you try to jump in/out with the fall and rise and hit it jsut right it is great. However, the reality is taht this stock goes up & down extremely quick. I have been bit hard both on single days where it dropped rapidly and then jumped right back up. I am way ahead of the game and learned my lesson.... long ride baby!

Bottom line this is a good time to buy if ya got the $$, holidays & strern are right around the corner & then the 2006 car sales. Now if this was March 06????
