These are Sirius numbers... I cant Find XM's. But as you can see, Sirius has only 581,988 TOTAL OEM subs..

Exactly...Honday will install that many this year alone.

It is pathetic. Yes SIRIUS may have 40% of the OEM market but what is that 40% doing? Didly squat!!!

GM and Honda have been great backers of XM and now you have Hyundai putting it STANDARD in all there cars.

This is where SIRIUS is lagging. If OEMS were like XM for SIRIUS the gap would close quickly.

And to the post about visiting the Nissan website. Yes they are currently both offered as a dealer installed option but that is chaning as of the press realease today.

ALso it is true nither XM or SIRIUS can get "Exclusive" deals anymore, however like Nissan did, they can choose which service to factory install, which means SIRIUS will continue to be the lame dealer install.

XM fanboys claim that XM is blowing Sirius away in this category, but according to my sources, Sirius CURRENTLY has 40% of the OEM market. I don't consider a 40/60 split to be a blowout. And if Ford and D-C do as predicted, Sirius could reach parity in the near future. Especially considering that XM stalwarts GM and Delphi are financially on the rocks.
Blah-dee-blah, spoken like the true Sirius fanboy you are.

who cares about nissan and GM? their cars suck anyway. Sirius has 28 partners and XM has 21. So what if GM is the biggest car manufacturer. Chances are if all you can afford is a GM vehicle you won't want to spend the extra money on satellite radio

Oh, I get it: if all you can afford is a $38,000 Chevy Suburban or a $45,000 Corvette then of course you can't afford a radio.

GM, like most car companies, has vehicles in a full range of prices. Ford and Dodge are exactly the same way.

take another look again at why GM is the largest car selling company, you'll find it's not because they sell hundreds of thousands of corvettes or surburbans.

So you're saying that you really think Ford and Dodge are more upscale than GM?
