Default Want to check Sat Radio Brand recognition?

Go here: http://inventory.overture.com/d/sear...ry/suggestion/

Type in: sat radio

925 hits for Sirius on yahoo for the last month.
342 hits for Sirius on yahoo for the last month.

It's pretty clear what retail wants. If it was not for the OEM XM would not have 400K in the last Q. The percentage different is bigger in retail.

This measure is not very accurate for predicting retail demand... remember its web searches not potential customers with disposable income searching for sat service.

Sirius has a large individual investment base... thus more people searching how the stock is so cheap compared to XM .

I do agree that Sirius has the better brand image however this is not a good measure.

Oh BTW type SIRI into the search queue.... here are some results...

Just to correct you, I did not type in Sirius, but "Sat Radio". A Sirius investor would type in Sirius not Sat Radio.

It all adds up. Web traffic. Web searches. Subs. Content and ..........

I am agreeing with you that Sirius has better brand recognition however using web traffic is not an easy way to do this.

Food for thought...

Sales ranking from Amazon.com

Top 3 Sirius-
Sirius Starmate
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #1,704 in Electronics (See Top Sellers in Electronics) Yesterday: #2,558 in Electronics

Sirius S55
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #1,357 in Electronics (See Top Sellers in Electronics) Yesterday: #1,105 in Electronics

Sirius SP-TK2
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #4,243 in Electronics (See Top Sellers in Electronics) Yesterday: #2,708 in Electronics

Top 3 XM-

XM Myfi
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #555 in Electronics (See Top Sellers in Electronics)
Yesterday: #817 in Electronics

XM Roady2
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #938 in Electronics (See Top Sellers in Electronics)
Yesterday: #852 in Electronics

XM Skyfi2
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #1,722 in Electronics (See Top Sellers in Electronics) Yesterday: #916 in Electronics

What do these numbers suggest? Again all numbers are fickle and may not be accurate. The only thing we need to concern ourselves with is

1) True Sub Counts
2) SAC and CPGA

And one more time: I was not talking about the web traffic.

Web traffic does not reflect brand recognistion as clearly as the yahoo search hits.

I was talking about the yahoo overtures (number of unique searches for a given keyword). My point was this: When people serach for sat radio (again not for stocks, not for a given website) they search for Sirius sat radio more than XM sat radio by over 100%. Got It? I'm going to throw up if I see one more response related to web traffic.

And BTW, what you showed is page hits, not domain hits. That means basically nothing. It means Sirius web site is better because people visit more pages.

If you want to talk apples and apples view this:
http://traffic.alexa.com/graph?w=640...ww.xmradio.com

Even this pic is not a clear representation of brand recognition, but it allows you to see website traffic before a big event (NHL, MLB, STERN). Too bad all these big analysts missed the most important event for XM. They all wondered why the spike in web traffic for first and second week in June. They all missed the fact that XM had World Cup games exclusive on their radio. All that traffic was 2 and 1 day before the World cup.
