Hi, we are students at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and we are studying the satellite radio market. If possible, we would greatly appreciate it if you could answer the following survey questions:

Age
33

Gender
Male

Current Subscriber (yes/no)
If yes: length of your subscription
Yes, for 1 year, 6months

Reason for purchasing Satellite Radio
More selection for music, talk, sports, comercial free and uncencored music. uncensored talk.

Reason for purchasing XM vs. Sirius
Sirius, I initially picked it because of the superior music selection in heavy metal/ hard rock, The NFL, and Big 12 football. I also like Howard Stern and the Jay Thomas show.

Are you satisfied with assortment of channels? (please provide a number and then elaborate on why you chose that number)
1-5: 1= very satisfied
3 = neither satisfied nor dissatisfied
5 = very dissatisfied
1.5 I really like the heavy metal and hard rock channels but on some channels the playlist is a little shallow. I would like them do go a little deeper but not like XM where half the stuff they play no one ever heard of. I also like the selection of talk.

Are you satisfied with price? (please provide a number and then elaborate on why you chose that number)
1-5: 1= very satisfied
3 = neither satisfied nor dissatisfied
5 = very dissatisfied
1, I think 12.95 is pretty darn cheap for the variety of top notch programing I get and the hours upon hours of entertainment. My only bitch is the sound quality could use some improvement.

How do you listen to your satellite radio? i.e. what devices?
Sportster, 2 subs. I mostly listen in the car, and when home I listen while doing household chores or when I'm hanging out relaxing, and when I have parties, Hair Nation is always a hit. I sometimes listen at work when I have an internet connection available.

Satrad is probably one of the best new products of the 21st century. Whether you prefer XM or Sirius it doesn't matter. It's so cool that you can listen to such diverse programming, and follow your favorite sports teams no matter where you happen to be, and none of the exclusive content is censored like it is on old fashioned radio.

THANKS!

If yes: Sirius subscriber since July 2002, I had XM until a few months ago.

Reason for purchasing Satellite Radio: Commercial Free Music

Reason for purchasing XM vs. Sirius- I wanted Commercial Free Music and at the time Sirius was the only commercial free radio.

Are you satisfied with assortment of channels? (please provide a number and then elaborate on why you chose that number) 2- over all good, they need to make sure that they cover as many genres as possible. Funk is a huge hole, they need to hire some big name like Tom Joyner to fix the urban stations.

Are you satisfied with price? (please provide a number and then elaborate on why you chose that number)
1-very satisfied good value for me, worth it by far

How do you listen to your satellite radio? i.e. what devices? In both cars and in home - Starmate Replay and Starbase in the cars and stream online.
