Post SIRI Soaring

SIRI is booming today...I can't find any press releases or anything to explain why. Is it the result of XM's 3rd quarter results? Either way I like it.

.21 is soaring now?? If anything, XMSR is soaring... and yea, I'm thinking this is because of the CC.

Up 5.5% in two hours of trading is soaring in my book. If it is a result of XM's 3rd quarter results, and ours are good as well this could be a good week for the stock.

SIRI's CC is not going to be as good... XMSR did a very good job in getting costs down, Sirius isn't going to have those numbers.

Unfortunately you are exactly right -- xmsr is up because they shocked the street with far better than expected #s and it is typical for sirius to move up on xmsrs good news and xmsr to move down on siris bad news. nothing new here.

you never know but it is hard to see how siris# are going to beat the streets est. (0.14), and (0.15) or (0.16) seems more likely of course they will attempt to color it as having prepaid subsidies in q3 like always.

If one of the SDARS companies has a big spike in share value, the other one will usually have a significant increase by mere association. When Sirius announced Mel Karmazin and Howard Stern, XM's shares also rose.

of course this is just my guess but i think sirius could follow xm lead in substantially lowering losses. my guess was both sirius and xm were working on controlling costs instead of explosive sub growth in q3. xm definitely did and we shall see what sirius did on wednesday.if sirius earnings blow away estimates similar to xm i believe satellite radio stocks have seen the bottom.

I believe another thing to take into account is that for every share of XM...there are 3 or 4 shares of SIRI
