Since its inception when Nick Rhodes and Simon LeBon of Duran Duran named it, Random Access has seen many of your favorite '80s artists drop by to host and play their favorites from the decade of greed! On Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th, we'll play back the best of those, beginning at noon ET on the Big '80s.

The Big '80s Big 40

Join Nina Blackwood each week as she counts down the Top 40 hits from a corresponding week in the decade of big greed, big hair, and big hits.

Upcoming shows:
7/01: week of July 1st 1989
7/08: week of July 8th 1983
7/15: week of July 15th 1986
7/22: week of July 22nd 1984

Martha Quinn Presents… Gods of the Big '80s
Saturdays Noon ET
Reairs Saturdays 8 am ET, 8 pm ET, Sunday 1 am ET & 3 pm ET, Monday midnight ET, Wednesday 11 pm ET
Original MTV VJ Martha Quinn brings her love of '80s music to SIRIUS listeners! Every Saturday at 12 pm ET, Martha gets back in the studio and back to a time when "M" stood for music, playing the songs that defined a decade, and bringing her own personal perspective on the biggest pop and rock artists that she experienced firsthand.

Behind The Big '80s
Monday to Friday 11 am & 8 pm ET
Join Richard Blade twice each weekday, as he gives you the inside stories behind your faves from the '80s. From birthdays to how certain bands preferred to travel, to fascinating little-known facts Richard dispels the rumors and gives you the inside scoop, Big '80s style.

Random Access
Monday to Friday 12 pm - 1 pm ET
It's an hour of fun, waiting for a chance encounter with that stray song, arbitrary anthem or erratic refrain that time nearly forgot. It's unpredictable, unplanned and undeniably great '80s music. Listen each day at 12 pm ET. We will be, 'cause we can't wait to hear what's playing next! And thanks to Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran for the idea.

This started out as preset B-8... it's since migrated into my A band (though '60s Vibrations came from being non-presetted to be my top decades preset).

I love the channel, its one of my presets and gets a lot of listening time.

I especially like The Big '80s Big 40, what a great look back in time!

This is the music of my teenage years and it's one of my top presets, although I like First Wave more, generally.

I'm always disappointed in the Big 40, I think it should be done much better than it is. I like hearing some of the more obscure stuff they don't play anymore that never made it much beyond the 30's, though.

Just like back then, I could do without the sappy ballads of the Chicagos and Journeys of the era.

I am a child of the 80's and this is my music.
This is my number one preset. I like the Big 40 countdown. I like Alan, Mark and Nina. And, what I love so much about Sirius, when the Big 80's is playing a song that I've heard one too many times, I can always find good 80's music playing somewhere else on Sirius, like First Wave, Classic Rewind, and many other channels. But, I always come back to the Big 80's.

This is my second favorite channel next to my other 80's channel, Hair Nation.

The DJ's are fun and give great pithy comments about the music. Ok, Alen Hunter does get carried away on his comments regarding drinking Pinot Noir wine, but hey thats my favorite wine and I drink a bottle a week of it...

Nina does a good job on the top 40 and Mark seems to need a vacation. He is on all the time..hehe.

Enjoyable channel that cant be heard anywhere on the FMer.. Keep up the great music.

The only reason I did not add this channel is because I already know the channel number.

This is one of my top presets. They do a good job mixing up the music. They play a broad selection of hits. If you are into more focused genres, HairNation or First Wave may be better choices, but I keep finding my way back to The Big 80s. The VJ's are fun.

I do have this station as a preset, I don't listen to this station much. But before I joined Sirius, I use to listen to a FM station like this. Mix 96.9 "Best of the 80's, 90's and today." They usually did an hour of nothing but 80's music and I enjoyed that.

Thumbs up

This one's already a preset of mine. It's a good channel. I could be better, though.

They need to play whole songs. Not radio edit songs. This is Satellite Radio. They should have to worry about how long a song is.

I get my '80s fix here, and when I want New Wave Music, I go to 1st Wave 22...

Unhappy Not this week

I have been walking the dog for this, the fifth week. This is the first time that I found nothing that I liked. NOTHING. Not Big ‘80s, Bluegrass or Reggae. Nevertheless, there is still hope for me.

Now with 85 other music channels to choose from, future Walk The Dog should be more satisfying.
