I gave this channel a solid effect. Listened to it for the past 2.5 days. I just can't get into it. I was never a fan of reggae and this station didn't do anything to change that. Deep down I hate this fact - I like to try to be open to a variety of musical styles, but no matter how much I listen to certain ones like reggae, country, rap, hip hop, i just can't enjoy them. I wish I had more of an open mind, I guess.

Regardless, I won't be coming back. Never heard anything that would bring me back and get me looking more into this genre. Also, this morning, I heard about a 30 minute live version of Get Up Stand Up/War, by Marley and then about an hour later, I heard Get Up Stand Up by Marley (not the extended War version) and it pushed me to finally putting the end to this channel in my WTD experiment.

I get the vibe from this channel that it has a Margaritaville type feel to it, in that 1 out of every 5 songs or so is a Bob Marley (or someone Marley) tune.

Anyway, great for those that like it, and I am glad its here on Sirius, but not for me.

Two thumbs up for me. Reggae love. Dancehall love even more. Dancehall music is my favorite when I workout in the gym. Dancehall Saturday night is one of my weekly recordings. Great shows mostly. Except when the DJ's use the horn sound effects. Hate that.

Reggae just doesn't float my boat. I gave it an honest listen, but there just wasn't anything that really interested me.

I have a cousin who some years back tried to turn me on to Marley, Tosh etc., but I didn't really like Reggae then and I don't really like it now.

No offense intended toward those who enjoy the genre.

I don't have a problem with Sirius having a reggae channel. It's nice to have some niche genres to give Siri a little more eclecticism.
