60's Vibrations is one of my favorite channels. The mid to late 1960's produced some of the best music ever made -- a lot of creativity and imagination on the part of the songwriters that were working in this time period. I like Motown, and the California sound, and love the British Invasion.

I like the way that Sirius allows Gold to handle the early 1960's before the British Invasion. I enjoy listening to Pat St. John on the morning show, and Cousin Brucie on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.

Good channel!

This is by far the best of the five "Decades" channels (if you count Pulse as a Decade channel). The percentage of quality pop songs was highest during the '60s. The variety and creativity was amazing then. As Aaron says, from the girl groups, British Invasion, surf music, Motown, psychadelic, folk rock, etc. A plus!

And I love the Cousin Brucie show too.

While I prefer Sirius Gold, I enjoy this station from time to time. A lot of the 60s music I enjoy is more likely to turn up on the Vault or perhaps Classic Vinyl. I'll stop back here from time to time.

This is my favorite of the Decade Channels. Something about the music of the '60s I seem to like the best. This is also the only decade channel that I have preset...

The music is great. The Beatles are my favorite band. I like the DJ's, too. Road Hog is right, Cousin Brucie is good, too...

Question

I listened to this channel again for the most of the morning. I noticed two things.

1. They didn't play any early '70s music, like they usually do.

2. They played a few songs from the early '60s.

Is this only a Weekend thing, when there are no DJ's? Or have they decided to change their format?

I wonder if they are trying to be more like XM now and keep the decades to themselves? I don't mind hearing a good early '70s tune hear and there, but not all the time. Eric Burdon and War's Spill the Wine is a good '70s song.

60s Vibrations is a really good channel. I like Johnny Donovan (from WABC radio) liners...and the music mix is huge. The range of music from the 60's is amazing. Cousin Brucie is a nice touch too. Given that "oldies" stations are a dying breed, this sort of channel is a great listen on Sirius.

The mid to late 60s are the golden days of rock n roll, and the big hits are played, and Motown classics are covered very well, yet there is room for improvement. As with channels 5 and 7 who throw in several "oh wow" hits and dig a bit deeper, this is what 60s Vibe needs to do- go past just the top 10 hits and the overplayed monster hits, to keep it fresh and exciting. One of my presets for sure- great jocks!!
