I enjoy the DJs on XM 6. Terry "motor mouth" Young and Plash Phelps are fun to listen to and have lots of music/artist history that I like to listen to. I have found that XM does have deeper play lists.

XM48 Squizz...if you like Octane you will love Squizz...stupid name great channel. Octane gets real old...real fast.

XM41 The Boneyard is like Hair Nation with balls...deeper and they play alot of the new stuff.
Buzzsaw reaches farther back than The Boneyard though...I would love to have Buzzsaw on my XM dial...and Boneyard on my Sirius dial.

XM81 BPM has no match on Sirius...much better than The Beat.

If I could pick, I think I might listen to to the Wolfman Jack show on XM's 50-60's station, sort of like Cousine Brucie, except the Wolfman is no longer living so I guess they have tapes of him and re-splice in re-mixed music.

Also, I'm a big Hokies fan, so the ACC football is somthing I'd listen to.

I like XM's deeper play lists which means less repetition on the music channels.XM also has better reception I rarely suffer from dropouts and now that Howard is on XM it would be good for his fans who are suffering from reception issues to look into XM's equipment.

It looks like no music is available on their "Best of XM" which makes sense - if you like XM's music better then you should subscribe to XM. I was really tempted to order the "Best of XM". I don't see anything worth the extra $4 though.

I am an XM subscriber. I used to have 3 XM subs but cancelled two and just left my Cars OEM sub active. On Monday, I bought a second car that has OEM XM as well with three months free.

I was interested in getting the best if Sirius till I discovered that there is no music included there either. I would never listen to the 5 or so channels that are included and I am sure I'm not the only one.

They need to add more channels to the best of deals to make it worth it. It's far from best of.

Once again boys and girls, the ONLY music channels that play commercials are those that are owned by CLEAR CHANNEL which I think are like 4-6 channels which I have removed from my channel list.

This does make sense plus if you want NFL and MLB, subscribe to XM.

I've been thinking about that. I have a lifetime subscription that I bought over three years ago, so it's almost paid for itself.

I think it might make better sense to fire up the old MyFi and get Best of Sirius. Although I do like the music better on Sirius, I like the Decade and Pop channels better on XM...

It looks like I'm gonna find out what's on XM to be excited about firsthand. I didn't know XM got the NBA, and that's a big reason I have Sirius. Plus I'll get MLB. And still have Stern with the add on. I'll miss a few things on Sirius. Michaelangelo Sinorele, Lynn Samuels. But, it'll be exciting to explore XM. Mel said we'd get the same thing we got now for the same price after the merger. Looks like I'm gonna be paying an extra 4 bucks for something similar.

At the risk of getting busted on for being a conservative from the south, channel 166 XM is really good with Laura Ingram and also 165 w/ Glenn Beck in the morning. Hannity is on until 6pm on 166. If you drive alot like I do, you'll like the special guest channels like 53 for AC/DC, 18 w/ Kenny Chessney......Led Zep was on for awhile. Potus 08 is good if you really like 24/7 politics. I have both services, and enjoy both (despite the reception problems I'm having now with my S50 home dock). SEC football is on this year. Gotta love that. 20 0n 20 is good for those who like the current culture music. 40,41 49 are some of my favorites......

Well you can just ignore what I said earlier in this thread about the DJs on XM Chan. 5. That channel has been gutted & is no longer worth listening to.

Also the once excellent XM Soul Street (Channel 60) has been taken apart & is no longer anything special at all.

So sad.

I think anyone looking to switch should wait and see what's going on with the channels first. They are probably consolidating music channels so they can simulcast the same channels on XM and Sirius. That will save them money but unfortunately won't improve SQ though since they are still using the same bandwidth and transmitting on two different codecs.
